## Biography

Aaron Ashmore is a Canadian actor. Born on 7 October 1979 in Richmond, British Columbia, he is the identical twin brother of actor Shawn Ashmore. The brothers began appearing in television commercials while in elementary school.

Ashmore is known for his roles as Jimmy Olsen in *Smallville* (2006–2011), Steve Jinks in *Warehouse 13* (2011–2014) and Johnny Jaqobis in *Killjoys* (2015–2019). He has also appeared in *Veronica Mars* (2004–2006), *Locke & Key* (2020–2022), *Ginny & Georgia* (2021–) and *SkyMed* (2022–). In film, he starred in *The Thaw* (2009).

He played Ronald Dreason in the 2026 miniseries *I Will Find You*. Ashmore received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for *Killjoys* and a Leo Award nomination for *The Thaw*.
