## Biography

Aaron Renier is an American comics artist, author and writer. Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he has lived in Portland, Oregon, Brooklyn, New York and Chicago.

Renier is the creator of the graphic novels *Spiral-Bound* (2005) and the *Unsinkable Walker Bean* series (2010 and 2018). He received the Eisner Award for Talent Deserving of Wider Recognition in 2006 and was awarded the inaugural Sendak Fellowship in 2010. He has also illustrated books including works by Gerald Morris and Dave Eggers.

In 2014 he wrote the episode 'Hard Times at the Huskin' Bee' of the animated miniseries *Over the Garden Wall*.
