## Biography

Adam Barr is an American television screenwriter and producer. He began his career in the early 1990s, writing episodes of series including *Parker Lewis Can't Lose* and *Weird Science*.

Barr is best known for his work on *Will & Grace* (1998–2020), for which he wrote numerous episodes and served in various production roles; the series won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2000. His other credits include writing for *Dinosaurs* (1991), *Desperate Housewives* (2004), *The New Adventures of Old Christine* (2006), *Suburgatory* (2011–2012), *Ghosted* (2017) and *Lucky Hank* (2023). He also wrote and directed the short film *Mackenheim* (2002).

Barr graduated from Harvard College.
