Adam Ferrara is an American actor and stand-up comedian. Born on 2 February 1966 in Queens, New York, he grew up in Huntington Station in an Italian-American family and graduated from Marist College.

He is known for playing Chief 'Needles' Nelson on the FX series *Rescue Me* (2006–2011) and Detective Tommy Manetti on *The Job* (2001–2002). Ferrara co-hosted the US version of *Top Gear* (2010–2016) and appeared as NYPD Sgt. Frank Verelli on *Nurse Jackie* (2013–2015). His film credits include *Paul Blart: Mall Cop* (2009) and *Definitely, Maybe* (2008).

A two-time nominee for the American Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-Up, Ferrara has performed on Comedy Central and at venues including Caroline's and the Comedy Cellar. He is married to actress Alex Tyler.
