## Biography

Adam Kennedy was an American actor and screenwriter. Born on 10 March 1922 in Otterbein, Indiana, he graduated from DePauw University and studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York under Sanford Meisner. He served in the United States Army Air Forces during the Second World War.

Kennedy appeared in films including *Men in War* (1957) and *The Tall Stranger* (1957), and on television in series such as *Gunsmoke*, *The Californians* and *The Doctors*. He later wrote screenplays for *The Domino Principle* (1977), which he adapted from his own novel, *The Dove* (1974) and *Raise the Titanic* (1980). He also published twenty novels and exhibited his paintings in the United States and Europe. Kennedy died on 16 October 1997 in Kent, Connecticut.
