## Biography

Adam Muto is an American writer, storyboard artist, animator and producer. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts, where he was a classmate of Pendleton Ward, creator of *Adventure Time*.

Muto began his work on *Adventure Time* (2010) as a storyboard artist. He advanced to creative director, supervising director, supervising producer, co-executive producer and, from mid-season five, showrunner and executive producer. He has also written episodes of *Steven Universe* (2013) and *Steven Universe Future* (2019).

Muto received two Primetime Emmy Awards for episodes of *Adventure Time*: "Jake the Brick" (2015) and "Islands Part 4: Imaginary Resources" (2017).
