## Biography

Adam Rapp is an American writer, playwright, novelist and screenwriter. Born on 15 June 1968 in Joliet, Illinois, he graduated from Clarke University and completed a playwriting fellowship at the Juilliard School.

He is known for his plays, including the Pulitzer Prize finalist *Red Light Winter* (2006), and for television writing on series such as *The Looming Tower* (2018), *Vinyl* (2016), *Flesh and Bone* (2015) and *In Treatment* (2008–2010). He has also written for *American Rust* (2021–2024) and *Dexter: New Blood* (2021), and directed the film *Winter Passing* (2006).

Rapp is the brother of actor Anthony Rapp. His awards include the 2012 PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation for Theater Award and the 2007 Benjamin H. Danks Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
