Adam Wiltzie is an American composer and sound engineer based in Brussels, Belgium. He was born on 17 September 1969 in New York City. After a knee injury ended a potential tennis career at age 16, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he lived for ten years before relocating to Europe.

Wiltzie is a founder of the ambient projects Stars of the Lid and A Winged Victory for the Sullen (with Dustin O'Halloran). He has composed scores for films including *Salero* (2016), *Iris* (2016), *God's Own Country* (2017), *The Yellow Birds* (2017), *Whitney* (2018) and *American Woman* (2018). He has also collaborated with Jóhann Jóhannsson on scores such as *Arrival* (2016).
