## Biography

Addison Richards was an American actor of film and television. Born Addison Whitaker Richards Jr. on 20 October 1902 in Zanesville, Ohio, he died on 22 March 1964 in Los Angeles, California. He appeared in more than three hundred films and television productions from 1933 until his death.

Richards graduated from Washington State College and joined the Pasadena Playhouse in 1931 as an actor and associate director. He entered motion pictures in 1933 and later held a nonexclusive contract with Warner Bros. He is credited as the Judge in *Boys Town* (1938) and appeared in numerous other films, often in supporting roles as authority figures.
