## Biography

Adele T. Strassfield was an American television writer. While working as secretary to producer William Froug on the fifth and final season of *The Twilight Zone* (1959), she developed the story for the episode 'Caesar and Me', which aired on 10 April 1964. It is the only original episode of the series written by a woman.

She received a writing credit, co-authored with Robert Riordan, on the *Gilligan's Island* episode 'Nyet, Nyet, Not Yet' (1965) and wrote an episode of the anthology series *Insight* (1966). Earlier in her career she worked as an assistant to the producer on the film *Attack* (1956) and as assistant to director Robert Aldrich on *The Garment Jungle* (1957).

Strassfield was born on 28 May 1924 and died on 27 July 1977.
