## Biography

Adrian Younge is an American composer, arranger and music producer. Born on 7 May 1978 in Fontana, California, he grew up there and initially trained and worked as a lawyer, teaching entertainment law and spending time in the legal department at MTV before turning to music full time.

Younge is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who began with hip-hop production before focusing on analog recording techniques. He provided the score and also edited the blaxploitation film *Black Dynamite* (2009). He has since composed for numerous film and television projects, often collaborating with Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Their joint credits include the scores for the series *Luke Cage* (2016–2018) and *Sugar* (2024). Other television work includes *All Rise* (2019) and *Cross* (2024).
