## Biography

Afia Nkrumah is a British director, writer and producer. She holds an MA from the London Film School and is a BAFTA Connect member.

She has directed episodes of the BBC series *Call the Midwife* (2021), *EastEnders* (2016–2018) and *Coronation Street* (2021–2022). Her short films include *The Trousseau* (2006) and *Shadow Man* (2014), both of which she also wrote.
