Akbar Meshkini works as a production designer and set designer. He served as production designer on the Afghan film *Osama* (2003), directed by Siddiq Barmak. He has also contributed set design to *Kandahar* (2001) and art direction or production design to films including *The Day I Became a Woman* (2000), *Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame* (2007) and *Two-Legged Horse* (2008).
