## Biography

Akitoshi Yokoyama is a Japanese anime director, animator and storyboard artist, also credited as 横山 彰利. He graduated from Tokyo Designer Academy and studied storyboarding under Yoshiyuki Tomino. He began his career as an animator, working initially at Sunrise before becoming a freelancer.

Yokoyama has directed episodes of *Attack on Titan* (2013), *The Tatami Galaxy* (2010), *Samurai Champloo* (2004), *Gurren Lagann* (2007) and *Deadman Wonderland* (2011). His series director credits include *Photo Kano* (2013), *Cutie Honey Universe* (2018) and *Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut* (2021). He has also contributed to *Scott Pilgrim Takes Off* (2023) and *Wolf's Rain* (2003).
