Alan Cody is a film and television editor. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he moved to California at the age of three and graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1987 with a degree in radio, film and television.

He began his career as an intern and assistant editor, later working extensively with Michael Kahn on films including *Schindler's List* (1993) and *Jurassic Park* (1993). His editing credits include *Speed 2: Cruise Control* (1997), *Inspector Gadget* (1999), *Larry Crowne* (2011) and multiple episodes of *The Walking Dead* (2010–2022). He has also edited episodes of *The Pacific* (2010), *The Americans* (2013) and *Invasion* (2021).

Cody has received two Primetime Emmy nominations for his television work.
