## Biography

Alan Trustman was an American screenwriter. A Harvard-educated lawyer, he left a Boston law firm to write his first screenplay, *The Thomas Crown Affair* (1968), which starred Steve McQueen.

He followed it with the screenplay for *Bullitt* (1968), also starring McQueen, and co-wrote *They Call Me Mister Tibbs!* (1970). Later credits include a story credit on the 1999 remake of *The Thomas Crown Affair* and the teleplay for an episode of the television series *Fallen Angels* (1995).

Trustman died in Miami on 5 February 2026, aged 95.
