Alastair MacEwen is a cinematographer specialising in natural history and wildlife documentaries. His credits include director of photography on *Planet Earth II* (2016) and *Life on Our Planet* (2023), as well as camera operator on *Our Planet* (2019) and *The Hunt* (2015).

He has contributed additional photography and camera work to earlier series such as *The Life of Mammals* (2002) and *Night on Earth* (2020). MacEwen has received Emmy nominations for his cinematography, including for *Our Planet*.
