## Biography

Albert Höcht (1906–1992) was a German cinematographer and mountaineer from Munich.

He worked as a cameraman on Leni Riefenstahl's *Olympia Part One: Festival of the Nations* (1938). Other credits include *Der Dämon des Himalaya* (1935) and *Der Feuerteufel* (1940).

In 1934 he took part in the International Himalaya Expedition to the Karakoram, where he and Hans Ertl made the first ascent of Sia Kangri.
