## Biography

Albert Viguier was a French cinematographer, camera operator and assistant camera. Born in Paris in 1911, he began working in cinema as a child actor in the silent film *Le lion des Mogols* (1924) before moving into the camera department.

He served as one of the cinematographers on Marcel Carné's *Daybreak* (1939). His other credits include assistant camera on *A Day in the Country* (1946) and camera operator on films such as *From Mayerling to Sarajevo* (1940) and *Fanfan la Tulipe* (1952). He also worked as director of photography on several short films in the 1930s and 1950s. Viguier died in 2001.
