## Biography

Alberto Grimaldi (1925–2021) was an Italian film producer. He trained as a lawyer before founding his production company Produzioni Europee Associati (P.E.A.) in 1961 and entering film production.

Grimaldi produced Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns *For a Few Dollars More* (1965) and *The Good, the Bad and the Ugly* (1966). His other credits include *Last Tango in Paris* (1972), *Satyricon* (1969), *The Decameron* (1971), *Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom* (1975) and *1900* (1976). He returned to production after a long hiatus with Martin Scorsese’s *Gangs of New York* (2002).
