## Biography

Alec Puro is an American composer, musician and songwriter. He began his career as a session drummer, working with artists including Jackson Browne, Cher and Robby Krieger of The Doors. In 1996 he co-founded the band Deadsy while studying at the California Institute of the Arts.

Puro has composed music for numerous films and television series. His credits include the series *The Fosters* (2013–2016) and *Black Summer* (2019–2021), and films such as *The Art of Getting By* (2011), *Higher Ground* (2011), *All Nighter* (2017) and *Blade of the 47 Ronin* (2022). He scored *Nimrods* (2025) and has collaborated with Linkin Park on projects including the film *Mall* (2014). He founded the music production company Gramoscope Music in 2006.
