Alex Barnow is an American television writer and producer. He worked as a staff writer on the animated series *Family Guy* in 2001–2002.

Barnow co-created the sitcom *Mr. Sunshine* (2011) with Matthew Perry and Marc Firek. He has written episodes of and held producing roles on *Rules of Engagement*, *'Til Death*, *Out of Practice* and *The Goldbergs*, serving as showrunner on the latter from 2019. He also wrote the 2019 film *Shaft*.
