Alex Chapple is a Canadian television director and writer. He began his career directing episodes of Canadian series in the mid-1990s.

Chapple has directed numerous episodes of American procedural dramas, including one episode of *The Americans* (2013), several of *Law & Order* (from 2009), and over thirty of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2011–2019). Other credits include multiple episodes of *FBI* (2019–2026), *Blue Bloods* (2011–2021), *Chicago Fire* (2013–2016) and *Elementary* (2015–2017). He also directed the television films *Torso: The Evelyn Dick Story* (2002) and *Diverted* (2009).

He has been married to producer Mala Chapple since 1998.
