Alex Holmes is an Australian production designer. He studied painting at the NSW College of Fine Arts and the Glasgow School of Art before completing a master's degree in production design at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 2004, where he won the Fox Award for best production design in his graduating year.

Holmes is known for his work on Jennifer Kent's films *The Babadook* (2014) and *The Nightingale* (2018), as well as *The Invisible Man* (2020) and the Netflix miniseries *Eric* (2024). He has received multiple nominations and awards for production design, including an APDG Award for *Eric*.
