## Biography

Alex March (1921–1989) was an American television director, producer and occasional actor. He began his career in the early 1950s as a script editor and stage actor before moving into production on live anthology series such as *Studio One* and *Kraft Theatre*. He later directed episodes of numerous network dramas and crime series.

His directing credits include *The Fugitive* (1963), *The Man from U.N.C.L.E.* (1964), *Kojak* (1973), *Barney Miller* (1975), *Dallas* (1978), *Hart to Hart* (1979) and *Quincy, M.E.* (1976). March also directed the feature film *Paper Lion* (1968) and the television film *The Return of Captain Nemo* (1978). He continued working on series into the 1980s.
