## Biography

Alex Straker is a British television writer based in London. He began his career on BBC continuing dramas, writing episodes of *EastEnders* (2016–2017) and *Holby City* (2019–2020). Subsequent credits include *The Last Kingdom* (2022), *The Flatshare* (2022), *Culprits* (2023), *Vikings: Valhalla* (2024) and *The Buccaneers* (2025).

He is developing original series as a showrunner and has participated in mentorship schemes including the ITV/Dancing Ledge programme and the Chris Chibnall/Imaginary Friends scheme. He is a former member of the Soho Theatre Young Writer’s programme and a guest lecturer.
