Alexandre Aja, also credited as Alexandre Jouan-Arcady, is a French film director, producer and screenwriter. He was born on 7 August 1978 in Paris and is the son of director Alexandre Arcady.

Aja began his career in France with the horror film *High Tension* (2003), which he directed and wrote. He later moved to American productions, directing *The Hills Have Eyes* (2006), *Mirrors* (2008), *Piranha 3D* (2010), *Horns* (2013), *Crawl* (2019) — on which he also served as producer — *Oxygen* (2021) and *Never Let Go* (2024).
