## Biography

Alexi Hawley is an American television writer, producer and showrunner. He began his career writing screenplays before receiving his first screen credit on the 2004 film *Exorcist: The Beginning*. He joined the writing staff of the ABC series *Castle* in 2009, later serving as executive producer and co-showrunner on the show from 2015 to 2016.

Hawley created the NBC series *State of Affairs* (2014) and the ABC series *The Rookie* (2018), on which he serves as executive producer and showrunner. He co-created the spinoff *The Rookie: Feds* (2022) and created the Netflix series *The Recruit* (2022). His other credits include writing and producing work on *The Following*, *Body of Proof* and *Training Day*. He has also directed episodes of *The Rookie*.
