## Biography

Allan Eastman is a Canadian television director and executive producer. Born in Manitoba, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1971 and studied at the Film School of the University of Bristol, where he wrote and directed his first film, *A Sweeter Song* (1976).

Eastman directed the feature films *The War Boy* (1985), *Crazy Moon* (1987) and *Danger Zone* (1996). He directed episodes of numerous television series, including *Friday the 13th: The Series*, *Sliders*, *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* (1993), *Star Trek: Voyager* (1995), *Stargate SG-1* (1997), *The Outer Limits* (1995), *Earth: Final Conflict* (1997), *BeastMaster* (1999), *Andromeda* (2000) and *Degrassi: The Next Generation* (2001). He served as executive producer on *Night Man*, *BeastMaster* and *Andromeda*.

Eastman's miniseries *Ford: The Man and the Machine* received three Gemini Awards, including Best Miniseries. He also received a Golden Reel Award for *Ford* and a 2001 Leo Award for *Andromeda*. He was married to actress Cynthia Ashperger.
