## Biography

Allan C. Weisbecker (1948–2023) was an American screenwriter and writer. He contributed episodes to the television series *Miami Vice* (1984), including co-writing 'Glades' and 'Made for Each Other'. He also wrote for *Crime Story* (1986) and the screenplay for the film *Beer* (1985).

Weisbecker authored the novel *Cosmic Banditos* and memoirs including *In Search of Captain Zero* and *Can't You Get Along with Anyone? A Writer's Memoir and a Tale of a Lost Surfer's Paradise*. He worked as a photojournalist for publications such as *Surfer*, *Men's Journal* and *Smithsonian*, and was a lifelong surfer.
