## Biography

Alloysious Massaquoi is a Scottish musician and composer, best known as a member of the Edinburgh hip hop group Young Fathers alongside Kayus Bankole and Graham 'G' Hastings.

The trio formed in the 2000s and released their debut album *Dead* in 2014, which won the Mercury Prize. Their music has appeared in films including *Assassin's Creed* (2016) and *T2 Trainspotting* (2017). In 2025, Young Fathers composed and produced the original score for Danny Boyle's *28 Years Later*, their first full feature film soundtrack.

Massaquoi was born in Monrovia, Liberia, and moved to Edinburgh at the age of four. He attended Boroughmuir High School with Bankole.
