Alma Reville (also credited as Alma Lucy Reville and Alma Hitchcock) was an English screenwriter and film editor. Born on 14 August 1899 in Nottingham, she began her career in the British film industry in the early 1920s as an editor's assistant and script supervisor. She worked on early Hitchcock productions including *The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog* (1927) as script supervisor and assistant director, and contributed continuity or scenarios to films such as *The 39 Steps* (1935), *Sabotage* (1937), *Young and Innocent* (1937) and *The Lady Vanishes* (1938).

Reville married director Alfred Hitchcock in 1926 and collaborated closely with him throughout his career. She received screenplay credits on *Suspicion* (1941) and *Shadow of a Doubt* (1943), and adaptation credits on *The Paradine Case* (1947) and *Stage Fright* (1950). She also worked with other directors on titles including *The Constant Nymph* (1928) and *The Water Gipsies* (1932). Reville died on 6 July 1982 in Los Angeles.
