Alphonse Ethier was an American actor. Born on 10 December 1874 in Virginia City, Nevada, he died on 4 January 1943 in Hollywood, California.

He began his career on the stage, appearing in numerous Broadway productions including *The Argyle Case* (1912–1913), *Marie-Odile* (1915), *The Broken Wing* (1920–1921) and *The Jest* (1926). Ethier made his film debut in 1910 and went on to appear in more than seventy films through 1938, often in supporting roles as sheriffs, doctors, priests and military men.

His credits include *The Alaskan* (1924), *In Old Arizona* (1928) as Sheriff (uncredited), *The Big Trail* (1930) as Marshal (uncredited), *Baby Face* (1933) as Adolf Cragg, *Ex-Lady* (1933) and *Mad Love* (1935) as Assistant Prefect (uncredited). He was also credited as Alphonz Ethier.
