## Biography

Alyette Samazeuilh (1901–1971) was a French costume designer active in film and theatre. She designed the costumes for Agnès Varda’s *Cléo from 5 to 7* (1962) and for the 1959 film *Julie la Rousse* directed by Claude Boissol.

She maintained a long career as a costumière in French theatre, with numerous credits from the 1940s to the 1960s. These included productions at the Théâtre National Populaire directed by Jean Vilar, as well as other stage works by directors such as Roger Mollien and Hubert Gignoux.
