Alyson Reed is an American actress, dancer and singer. Born on 11 January 1958 in Anaheim, California, she graduated from Anaheim High School in 1976 and made her Broadway debut in the musical *Dancin'* in 1978. Additional Broadway credits include the 1987 revival of *Cabaret*, for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Reed is known for playing Cassie in the 1985 film adaptation of *A Chorus Line*. She gained wider recognition among younger audiences for her role as Ms. Darbus in the *High School Musical* trilogy (2006–2008). Her extensive television credits include guest appearances in series such as *Grey's Anatomy*, *Bones*, *Modern Family* and *Ad Astra* (2019).
