Amber Tamblyn is an American actress. She first came to attention for her role as Emily Quartermaine on the soap opera *General Hospital*, which she played from 1995 to 2001. She later starred as Joan Girardi in the series *Joan of Arcadia* (2003–2005), receiving Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for the performance.

Her film roles include Katie Embry in *The Ring* (2002), Tibby Rollins in *The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants* (2005) and its sequel, Megan McBride in *127 Hours* (2010), and a part in *Django Unchained* (2012). She appeared as Martha M. Masters on the series *House* (2010–2011). Tamblyn has also worked as a writer and director; her feature directorial debut was *Paint It Black* (2016). She is married to actor and comedian David Cross.
