## Biography

Ameet Chana is a British-Indian actor, producer and director. Born on 12 September 1975 in Epsom, Surrey, he trained at a Sunday acting workshop at the London Academy of Acting from the age of 13 and later completed a BTEC in National Performing Arts.

He is best known for playing Tony in the film *Bend It Like Beckham* (2002) and Adi Ferreira in the BBC soap *EastEnders* (2003–2005). Other credits include the taxi driver in *Run Fatboy Run* (2007) and appearances in *Casualty*, *Holby City* and *The League of Gentlemen*. In May 2006 he began presenting the Breakdown Show on BBC Asian Network.
