Amy Aniobi is an American writer, producer and director. Born on 28 August 1984 in North Texas, she is the daughter of Nigerian immigrants. She graduated from Stanford University with a BA in American Studies and later earned an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA.

Aniobi is a long-time collaborator of Issa Rae. She wrote for Rae's web series *The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl* and worked as a writer, co-executive producer and director on the HBO series *Insecure* (2016–2021), where she served as head writer. She also wrote for *Silicon Valley* (2014) and was showrunner for season one of *2 Dope Queens*. She signed a two-year overall deal with HBO in 2019. Other credits include showrunning and directing on *Survival of the Thickest* (2023).

Aniobi founded the production company SuperSpecial and the mentoring programme TRIBE. She has received nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards, Writers Guild of America Awards and NAACP Image Awards.
