## Biography

Amy Hobby is an American film producer. She produced the 2000 film *Hamlet*, directed by Michael Almereyda and starring Ethan Hawke. She founded Double A Films in 1995 and served as its president until 2002.

Her producing credits include *Nadja* (1995), *Thirteen Conversations About One Thing* (2001), *Secretary* (2002), *Lucky Them* (2013), *Love, Marilyn* (2013) and *What Happened, Miss Simone?* (2015). She has received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature and an Emmy Award.

Hobby was Executive Director of the Tribeca Film Institute from 2016 to 2020. She is a co-founder of Distribution Advocates and oversees its Film-ADE Fund, which provides grants for audience-building initiatives in independent film distribution. She holds BA and BFA degrees from Rice University.
