Amy Nuttall is an English actress and singer. Born on 7 June 1982 in Blackburn, Lancashire, she was educated at Bury Grammar School for Girls and trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. She performed with the National Youth Music Theatre and, at the age of 17, understudied and played the lead role of Christine in a national tour of *The Phantom of the Opera*.

Nuttall first gained prominence playing Chloe Atkinson in the ITV soap opera *Emmerdale* (2000–2005). She is also known for her role as housemaid Ethel Parks in *Downton Abbey* (2011–2012). Her other credits include appearances in *Death in Paradise* (2011), *The Musketeers* (2014), *Liar* (2017), *All Creatures Great & Small* (2020), *Why Didn't They Ask Evans?* (2022), *Mr Bates vs The Post Office* (2024) and the film *Beetlejuice Beetlejuice* (2024) as Jane Butterfield. In 2011 she received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from the University of Bolton.
