Amy J. Schmidt is a producer and production manager who began her career in assistant directing. She worked as second assistant director on feature films including *Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery* (1997), *Wag the Dog* (1997), *Old School* (2003), *Wonderland* (2003) and *Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End* (2007). She later served as first assistant director on television series such as *The Vampire Diaries* (2012–2016).

Schmidt has since moved into producing and unit production management roles. Her credits include co-producer and unit production manager on *Grey's Anatomy* (2018–2019) and *Station 19* (2020–2021), co-producer on *The Idol* (2023), and producer and unit production manager on *Euphoria* (2019–). She has also worked on *Forever* (2025).
