## Biography

Andrea Balency-Béarn is a French-Mexican composer of contemporary and film music, also credited earlier as Andrea Balency. Born in Paris and raised in Mexico City, she is based in London, where she is pursuing a PhD in composition at the Royal Academy of Music.

She began scoring films in 2020 and is known for her work on the feature *Dance of the 41* (2020) and the series *The Head of Joaquín Murrieta* (2023). She composed the score for the feature *On the Road* (also known as *En el Camino*, 2025), co-scored the BBC series *Kidnapped* (2024), and has credits on *Dust* (2026) and *Three Years Gone*. She also performs with the band Mount Kimbie.
