Andrew Lloyd Webber is an English composer and impresario of musical theatre. He was born on 22 March 1948 in London.

He composed the scores for stage musicals including *Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat* (1968), *Jesus Christ Superstar* (1970), *Evita* (1976), *Cats* (1981) and *The Phantom of the Opera* (1986). His film work includes the music for *Cats* (2019) and earlier scores such as *The Odessa File* (1974).

Lloyd Webber was knighted in 1992 and created a life peer as Baron Lloyd-Webber in 1997. He has received seven Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, seven Olivier Awards and other honours including the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006.
