Andrew McDonnell is a British cinematographer and director, also credited as Andrew J. McDonnell and Andy McDonnell. He has worked extensively in British television, serving as director of photography on series including *Humans* (2015), *Victoria* (2016), *Happy Valley* (2014–2023) and *Sex Education* (2019–2023).

McDonnell directed six episodes of *Shameless* (2011–2012). He is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers.
