## Biography

Andrew Rattenbury is a British screenwriter and playwright. He is a graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and worked as a stage and screen actor before turning to screenwriting in the late 1990s.

His television writing credits include multiple episodes of *Teachers* (2001–2003), *Hotel Babylon* (2007–2009), *Primeval* (2009), *Doc Martin* (2017–2022) and continuing dramas such as *Holby City*, *Casualty*, *EastEnders* and *Hollyoaks*. He created the medical miniseries *The Golden Hour* (2005) and adapted *The Grey Man* for television (2007). Stage work includes an adaptation of *The Postman Always Rings Twice* that transferred to the West End and the one-person show *Mayakovsky: The Slanting Rain*.
