## Biography

Andrey Dergachyov is a Russian composer and sound director. He has worked regularly with director Andrey Zvyagintsev since 2003, composing original scores for *The Return* (2003) and *The Banishment* (2007), and heading the sound department on *Elena* (2011), *Leviathan* (2014) and *Loveless* (2017). He has also contributed music or sound to films including *Fidelity* (2019) and *Viking* (2016).

Dergachyov received the Russian Guild of Film Critics award for best composer in 2007, shared with Arvo Pärt, and won a Motion Picture Sound Editors award in 2018 for sound editing on *Loveless*. His credits span more than twenty feature and documentary films across Russia and other countries.
