## Biography

Anette Haellmigk is a German cinematographer. She began working in film in the early 1980s as a first assistant cameraperson on German television documentaries and with cinematographer Jost Vacano on productions including *The NeverEnding Story* (1984). Vacano mentored her and brought her to the United States, where she worked on several Paul Verhoeven films as well as second-unit photography on features such as *Starship Troopers* (1997) and *Spider-Man 2* (2004).

Haellmigk moved into television as director of photography, shooting episodes of *The West Wing* (1999) after being hired by director Alex Graves. She has also worked on *Big Love*, *Game of Thrones* (ten episodes, 2013–2016), and *Insecure*. Her contributions to *Game of Thrones* earned two Primetime Emmy Award nominations and multiple ASC Award nominations. In 2012 she received the Kodak Vision Award.
