## Biography

Ángel de Andrés López was a Spanish actor. Born in Madrid in 1951, he studied law before joining the independent theatre group Tábano. He appeared on television as a child alongside his uncle, the actor Ángel de Andrés.

He worked with Pedro Almodóvar on *What Have I Done to Deserve This?* (1984), in which he played Antonio, and *Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown* (1988), as Police I. His film credits also include *800 Bullets* (2002) and *Tapas* (2005). On television he was known for playing Manolo Jumilla in the series *Manos a la obra* (1998–2001) and its sequel.

He received Goya and Barcelona Film Award nominations. López died in Miraflores de la Sierra, Madrid, in 2016.
