Angela Amato Velez is an American television writer and producer. She previously worked as a police officer and legal aid attorney, and has written novels.

She began writing for television on the NBC series *Third Watch* (2003–2005), for which she received story consultant and writing credits. She later served as consulting producer and writer on the first season of *Southland* (2009), and as consulting producer and writer on the first season of *The Good Wife* (2009–2010). She wrote the episode "Conjugal" for the latter. Amato Velez and the writing staff of *The Good Wife* received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for best new series in 2010.
