## Biography

Angelo Barbagallo is an Italian film producer. In 1987 he co-founded Sacher Film with director Nanni Moretti. He has produced numerous Italian features, including Moretti’s *Caro diario* (1993) and *The Son’s Room* (2001), Marco Tullio Giordana’s *The Best of Youth* (2003), and Abbas Kiarostami’s *Certified Copy* (2010), on which he is also credited as an actor playing the translator.

Barbagallo has received five David di Donatello awards for best producer, for *The Caiman* (2006) among others, as well as Nastro d’Argento and Ciak d’oro awards. He is married to costume designer Maria Rita Barbera.
